Details
Steam crashes using wine, due to the recent upgrade of
gnutls, lib32-litasn and libtasn. See
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=151882
for the original report. It was reported that rebuilding
wine was fixing the issue.

Strange, this has been reported by many users. On my machine, this
only occurs with Arch's wine. If I use a binary downloaded by
PlayOnLinux, then it works properly. Since downgrading libtasn
fixes the problem with Arch's wine, as reported in the thread, it
may mean that the binaries on Sourceforge are statically compiled
with tasn (to be confirmed), explaining why they do not make Steam
crash. Furthermore, one of the posters in the thread reports that
recompiling Arch's wine using ABS was also fixing the issue.
