Details

Description: A split package would be great. Exfalso is a powerful metadata editor and oddly enough, upstream like to package it along with quodlibet. A split package here would be very useful much like the handbrake/handbrake-cli split package.

Additional comments about closing:  Most of the package size is taken by the common libraries so it's not worth it.

exfalso uses a lot of the quodlibet python libraries, so if you split this, exfalso would have to depend on most of quodlibet anyways. I don't see any reason for a splitup here.

Debian handles this by:
- Putting everything in exfalso.
- quodlibet package with just the main quodlibet script / desktop files / icons.
- quodlibet depends on exfalso.

That's IMHO a better aproach given how small the packages are.
