DetailsDescription:
Since PostgreSQL has been changed to put its socket in /run/postgresql, the psqlodbc driver is unable to open a connection to the database. This appears to be because the psqlodbc driver is hard coded to look in /tmp for the sockets. I have reported this to the psqlodbc project but have received no response from them as yet. Additional info: * package version(s) postgreSQL: 9.2.1-2 psqlodbc-09.01.0200 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: 1. be sure postgreSQL database is running 2. try to connect with isql isql <some database name> <database user> <database password> result will be: [08001][unixODBC]Could not connect to the server; Could not connect to remote socket immedaitely [ISQL]ERROR: Could not SQLConnect the misspelled 'immedaitely' is found in the socket.c program from the psqlodbc driver source. |
