Details

Description: after a login in my Xfce session i found all the panel using a simple gtk theme, grey with sharp square borsers, like the default gtk3 theme with no theme installed. Switching theme from the appearance applet doesn't change nothing, like changing icons does the same, nothing. Also, there are no icons in the menu. I ran xfce4-appearance-settings from command line to see any error, but i don't see any line in the output of the command. I add my .xsession-error file.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
extra/xfce4-settings 4.10.0-3
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
Just log in your Xfce environment.

Does the previous version of xfce4-settings [1] have the same issue?

Also, how are you starting Xfce? Any idea which update might have caused this?

Messing with lxappearance and gtk-theme-switch gave nothing, until an update of plymouth, a reboot and solved. But applications like Galculator, Cairo-Dock and GSTranslator still have the default theme, maybe a mess with Gtk3?

I run Xfce by .xinitrc with "exec startxfce4 --with-ck-launch".

Install 'gnome-themes-standard' and select the 'Adwaita' style from Settings -> Appearance.

Are GTK 3 applications themed correctly after following the above step? (GTK 2 applications would use the Clearlooks theme in this case.)

I choose Adwaita and Galculator displayed ok! Now using Greybird from aur and Galculator uses the theme. Thanks for the help!

Btw, strange behavior between plymouth/xfce/gtk3...
