DetailsDescription:
This package is duplicated of [1], the main diference is that tha AUR package have the bare minimal makedependencies for the package, this are missing in the official and the package is more old (Thu, 04 Oct 2012 03:50:28 +0000) than the first upload of the official-repo package (20 Oct 2012) [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=63333 Steps to reproduce: Search in official repo for the xf86-video-modesetting search in AUR for the xf86-video-modesseting and compare first upload dates Solution: many: 1- remove AUR package (ignoreing vote numbers) and upload the makedependencies for modesetting correctly 2- remove community/extra package and wait for the 10 votes 3- make an exeption and allow both (inprobable) 4- same as 1 but not update the extra/community package what you say |
This task depends upon
The makedepends on the package in AUR were: 'xorg-server-devel' 'libx11' 'resourceproto' 'libxss'
thanks for removing the duplicated
resourceproto is the first complain at build time (the old x11 1.12 have it in xorg group.
and the libxss (and the obvious scrsaverproto) bprovides the saver.h, needed for build
finally The xorg not load this driver unless is specificated in xorg.conf.d or is the only driver in stock
a post install mesage like: for using this driver you need modesseting support and this need the only xf86-video driver intalled
or any like it
This is what the official pkg in extra has as makedeps. What's wrong with it?
You should be able to rebuild it with this deps.
and when I report this a duplicated in AUR exist too (solved now)
but if you considere that is fixe'd, mark fixed, is your package after all
