Instead use: Icon=QtProject-qtcreator Also, is a good chance to add a semicolon at the end of the Categories section: Categories=Qt;Development; Additional info: qtcreator 2.6.0rc-1 Steps to reproduce: install qtcreator there's no icon in the menu |

Ok fixed. On a related note, can you please make an upstream bug report, telling them to finally package and install their own .desktop file please?
