DetailsVirtualbox (At least with th ecurrent version - 4.2.2) cannot configure host-only interfaces automatically unless net-tools is installed. Without net-tools, the use should manually set the link of vboxnetN to up and add an adderess.
IMHO, the package should either depend on it or announce that it is required for automatic configuration of host-only interfaces. |
