Reason for closing: Won't fix
Additional comments about closing: This only fails if a user account inside the gdm group still exists. Either you made someone member of this group (shouldn't do that), or gdm is still running, resulting in not being able to remove the gdm user (you should not uninstall a package while it is running).

my gdm version is gdm-3.4.1-3
