Description:
I am unable to use onboard since the upgrade to 0.98.1-2. It segfaults as soon as it is run.

I tried downgrading to the previous version, but this no longer works either (I am suspecting due to all the package name changes with python - a required module is now missing)

You should install python-gobject from [testing]. See  FS#32034
