Description:

Please add the following patch to the next build of systemd (if it isn't already included):

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/systemd/systemd/commit/?id=d2fff1ced447c09c6601a6617300467ccd81660b

Discussion:

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/systemd-devel/2012-September/006688.html

My system was timing out trying to mount /home using /dev/disks/by-label/HOME previously. Once I got to the emergency console I was able to manually mount it and continue booting. This added 90 seconds and frustration to every reboot. I have manually applied that patch and I can now boot correctly.

Note that this is on a Vaio Z laptop with Intel fakeRAID-0.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
$ yaourt -Qs 'systemd|udev'
core/initscripts 2012.08.3-2 (base)
System initialization/bootup scripts
core/systemd 189-4
system and service manager
community/systemd-arch-units 20120704-5
Arch specific Systemd unit files

* config and/or log files etc.

Before the patch I'd get messages like:
Oct 06 11:40:54 redbeard-lappy systemd[1]: Job dev-disk-by\x2dlabel-HOME.device/start timed out.
Oct 06 11:40:54 redbeard-lappy systemd[1]: Job local-fs.target/start failed with result 'dependency'.
Oct 06 11:40:54 redbeard-lappy systemd[1]: Triggering OnFailure= dependencies of local-fs.target.

And then all other services would fail.

Steps to reproduce:

Find a box with both / and /home on partitioned fakeRAID. Mount them by label in fstab. Try to boot with systemd.
