DetailsPPP may be essential to some people for achieving network connectivity but for most people its uneeded.
NetworkManager has been for a while capable of operating without ppp installed. I would like to request for this dependency to become optional. You can see eg. Debian: http://packages.debian.org/sid/network-manager where ppp is just a recommended package & not a hard dependency. |
