Description:

libxcb stable has a WINE crasher for some games. Would it be possible to get the patch included in Arch's libxcb stable instead of waiting for release? They've already pushed both Ubuntu and Debian to do so ASAP. See https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54671 and http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31406. The upstream commit needed is 23911a707b8845bff52cd7853fc5d59fb0823cef ( http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xcb/libxcb/commit/?id=23911a707b8845bff52cd7853fc5d59fb0823cef )

I've applied this patch and built libxcb via ABS successfully. Seems to apply cleanly.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
libxcb 1.8.1-1

I'm going to push the new release from today to staging/testing soon. The fix seems to be included acording to the changelog.

Yeah, seems the libxcb guys pushed a new release containing the fix about an hour after I posted this bug. :\ Should be resolved once the repos switch to 1.9.
