DetailsPoppler depends on poppler-data which is not a hard dependency of the package. It provides encoding file for CJK and Cyrillic, languages that some people might not need support for.
Furthermore the license of the package is much more restrictive that the GPL poppler is licensed under. The data files are entirely optional for poppler to work, and can be detected if chosen to install. I think it makes sense to have them as an optional dependency of the package. |
