DetailsDescription:
Upon trying to view a signed message in mutt's builtin pager with "crypt_use_gpgme" enabled mutt crashes with "error creating gpgme context: Not operational". The issue is known upstream: http://dev.mutt.org/trac/ticket/3300 A working patch is available: http://dev.mutt.org/trac/raw-attachment/ticket/3300/mutt-1.5.21-gpgme-init.patch But mutt didn't have a release in ages. Therefore mutt should either be built without the broken gpgme backend, or -- and this is what I prefer -- the backend should be fixed with the short patch linked above. Additional info: gnupg 2.0.19-2 gpgme 1.3.1-4 mutt 1.5.21-7 Steps to reproduce: Add "set crypt_use_gpgme = yes" to your muttrc and just open any signed message in mutt's builtin pager. |

Regardless, since support for it is compiled in, I am all for applying maintenance patches to it.
