Detailscase: package "foo" is already installed
steps to reproduce: when i do pacman -A foo-newver.pkg.tar.gz , it tells to use -U, but after that it executes ldconfig, which is totally unncessary since pacman did nothing there. actual working: pacman must exit without running any external commands |

pacman 3 no longer has this behavior.
