Description:
I'm using systemd to start bitlbee. Unfortunately the daemon runs as root which is for me a security risk, even if it's restricted to local access.

Additional info:
* package version(s): 3.0.5-4
* config and/or log files etc.

How about configuring, say, the User entry of /etc/bitlbee/bitlbee.conf?
