Description:
extundelete segfaults during recovery under a current arch iso image or system. Reason may be different extX methods in source to work with a ext-FS(e2fsprogs and/or kernel modul). There is a patch on Debian bugtracker, when applied extundelete works as expected. http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=670815 Additional info: * package version(s) 0.2.0-2 Steps to reproduce: Boot a virtualbox image, delete for ex. /etc from an ext4 FS. Boot this vbox system with archlinux install medium, install extundelete from community and run it: extundelete --restore-all /dev/<rootdevice> You will get a segfault short before the recover will begin. A patched extundelete do the job right. (Proofed under vbox (i686 and x86_64) and on real machine. |
