DetailsDescription:
The virtualbox-source package provides DKMS support. It does so by installing all sources in /var/lib/dkms/vboxhost/4.1.22/source which circumvents the dkms tool completely. This causes issues when trying to rebuild virtualbox for a custom kernel using: dkms remove -m vboxhost -v 4.1.22 # removes /var/lib/dkms/vboxhost! dkms build -m vboxhost -v 4.1.22 # fails dkms install -m vboxhost -v 4.1.22 After running `dkms remove`, pacman -Qkq virtualbox-source reports the files as missing too. dkms expects the source in /usr/src, so why not put it there and run the relevant dkms commands in post-inst/pre-rm? Additional info: * package version: 4.1.22 |
