In /usr/lib/systemd/scripts/cpupower, cpupower frequency-set is called with -g, -d, -u and -f combined (if specified). At the same time, 'cpupower frequency-set --help' says: The -f FREQ, --freq FREQ parameter cannot be combined with any other parameter. Additional info: * package version(s) cpupower 3.5-5 * config and/or log files etc. # cpupower frequency-set -g userspace -f 2401000 the -f/--freq parameter cannot be combined with -d/--min, -u/--max or -g/--governor parameters Steps to reproduce: 1) edit /etc/conf.d/cpupower 2) set governor='userspace' and any supported freq= for your CPU 3) run rc.d restart cpupower (as root) 4) observe that the script failed |

If you comment "governor=..." line in /etc/conf.d/cpupower and use freq everything works correctly?

Yes, and the governor switches to 'userspace' automatically. May then just worth a note that if using 'freq' other options should be commented out.
