Description:
After yesterday update (libktorrent 1.2.1-2 => 1.3.0-1, ktorrent 4.2.1-1 => 4.3.0-1) ktorrent doesn't work at all - after starting it hangs up, there is no icon in the tray, there are no any window. It doesn't open torrent-files and doesn't start downloading/seeding. There are no any errors in stdout or syslog.
Rolling back resolves the problem.
I didn't try to delete ~/.kde4 - maybe this can help, but I don't think that this is proper solution.

Steps to reproduce:
#pacman -Syu
and ktorrent become broken
#pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/libktorrent-1.2.1-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
#pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/ktorrent-4.2.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
and ktorrent become working

I'm having the same problem under Fedora Core 17. Downgrading to ktorrent 4.2.0 and libktorrent 1.2.0 (as downloaded off of ktorrent.org) works around the problem.

Look at ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/log while ktorrent is starting up. In 4.2.0, the messages just fly by. In 4.3.0, they crawl. Maybe that'll help narrow down what the problem is.

I think I have the same problem. For me ktorrent starts, but it's not able to contact any tracker. And there's a peculiar message in the ~/.kde4/share/apps/ktorrent/log:

I have Ktorrent running in background and I even think it is working as I can see outgoing traffic through networmanager applet until I kill the process, however no main window and no tray icon available.
