Looks like during package build process, prebuild manpages are used instead of *.xml.in files. In consecuence in manpages, for example in avahi-daemon(8), you can see paths like "/home/lennart/tmp/avahi/etc/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf", "/home/lennart/tmp/avahi/etc/avahi/services/*.service", etc etc...

We do not have xmltoman in our repos. Would you be willing to become a developer and maintain it? :)

In the meantime, I can always do things like http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ss/ssss/PKGBUILD but it is not very pretty.

Ooh! it uses a different xml -> man than systemd!
