i was installing beagle and noticed that gnumeric didnt have
ssindex enabled during build, i know i can use abs and make
the required changes, but since beagle is going to be
mainstream soon, why dont we include ssindex support in
gnumeric?

Beagle requires this program to parse and index spreadsheet data from Gnumeric and Microsoft Excel files. It is a part of the gnumeric 1.4 distribution. Like pdfinfo, this is a runtime dependency. On SUSE 9.3, you will need to install the gnumeric package. You can download the gnumeric source from the Gnumeric web site (http://www.gnome.org/projects/gnumeric/). If you are compiling from source - make sure to enable ssindex by using --enable-ssindex during configure as follows: ./configure --enable-ssindex |
