The application icon used in /usr/share/spplications/supertuxkart.desktop is too big and messes up (at least) XFCE's menu. The right version is shipped but not correctly referenced in the .desktop file.

This is probably an upstream bug, but attached is a patch that introduces an sed call to the PKGBUILD that replaces the icon with the correct one.

Additional info:
Version: 0.7.3-2

Installing the correct icon as "/usr/share/pixmaps/$pkgname.xpm" (or even convert it to .png with image magick), then using the gendesk utility is also a possibility. The patch should work, though.

I think neither solution is good. XFCE should scale down the icon to fit automatically. Also, you should probably report this to both, XFCE and supertuxkart upstream. Let XFCE know that they should scale down icons do fit the menu and make supertuxkart aware of problems when distributing xpms. Make them use svg or png and this will work fine.

I'm closing this for now as your patch will give other users a worse resolution icon by default due to a fairly unrelated issue. Reopen if both upstreams can't get their shit together.
