Reason for closing:  Won't fix
Additional comments about closing:  Removing libcanberra-pulse seems to fix whatever conflict there is with Chromium. Not much information to go on with.

I have the same problem for few months: sometime, when I type somthing in the "omnibar" (address bar), chromium freezes.
I have the x86_64 version of archlinux.

It's apparently the same problem.
I just deleted the libcanberra-pulse, and we just have to wait and see if the problem is corrected.

Only one freeze in four days instead of a dozen by day before.
