Details

Description:
in "/opt/urbanterror/q3ut4/q3config.cfg"
the reference to libcurl is "libcurl-3.dll"
where it should be "/usr/lib/libcurl.so.4"
Not finding libcurl prevents the map autodownload function.
The change effectively solves the issue.

Issue affects (at least) version:
urbanterror-data 4.2-1

Please fix this for future releases.
Being a +1GB package I suggest a temporary inclusion of this modification on a post install file on the urbanterror package instead.

shouldn't config files be packed on along with binaries instead of data?
not in the particular case, but in many others configs a different on each architecture.
Often the "data" packages are much larger than the binaries and typos and other human mistakes (just as this one) can cause an unnecessary large download to update an application.

Yeah, the config should usually go with the binary package. However, in the case of this game I don't think you are meant to modify anything in the /opt subdir and as such I treat it as data along with all the other stuff. I don't thint the bandwidth is a problem here. The download is only a matter of a few minutes nowadays anyway.
