Description: When I try to start openvpn (the same way as always), rc.d reports success but no network interface is created and I can see the following in /var/log/everything.log (these are the last lines, I hope that's enough):

Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: OPTIONS IMPORT: timers and/or timeouts modified
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: OPTIONS IMPORT: --ifconfig/up options modified
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: OPTIONS IMPORT: route options modified
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: OPTIONS IMPORT: --ip-win32 and/or --dhcp-option options modified
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: ROUTE default_gateway=192.168.43.1
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: Note: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such device (errno=19)
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: /usr/sbin/ip link set dev up mtu 1500
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: Linux ip link set failed: external program exited with error status: 255
Aug 23 17:10:24 rory openvpn[9524]: Exiting

The last time I successfully ran openvpn was according to logs on August 12. The culprit might be (?) an upgrade of iproute2 from 3.4.0-2 to 3.5.1-1 which I did on Tuesday.

Steps to reproduce:
# rc.d start openvpn
# tail /var/log/everything.log

try "modprobe tun" before You start script manually or add tun to MODULES in /etc/rc.conf

Thanks, that solves it. I didn't use to have to do it but that probably can't be seen as a bug.
