I've just installed the 32-bit package just fine.
Try https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman#Q:_I_keep_getting_a_.22failed_to_commit_transaction_.28invalid_or_corrupted_package.29.22_error (last one on the page)

What's the md5sum of /var/cache/pacman/pkg/file-roller-3.4.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz?

Well - I got a corupted file - the local checksum was not right. you can close the bug please
