Detailsmake command in PKGBUILD should be replaced by
make CXXFLAGS="$CXXFLAGS" so that flags from /etc/makepkg.conf are used instead of just "-O2". And, it might be nice to enable pulseaudio support make CXXFLAGS="$CXXFLAGS" AUDIO=runtime (and replace gcc-libs dependency with libpulse) |

espeak was an orphan. Adopted the package. Will look at this issue.
