Details

Description:
You can't install package xz if it is not already installed
because it is compressed with xz!


Steps to reproduce:
pacman -Rdd xz
pacman -S xz

Reason for closing:  Won't fix
Additional comments about closing:  Removing xz will break pacman, leaving you with larger problems. We aren't going to stop you from doing braindead things.

Sure, if you remove pacman you can't reinstall pacman.
