Description:
When you install xsensors in xfce the menu "Applications Menu->System" becomes corrupted. You will see a strange picture in the menu which makes the entries close to the xsensors entry unreadable. The reason in the pixmap shiped by xsensors which is very large. In fact it looks like a partial screenshot of the program, weird for a pixmap. Uninstalling xsensors or changing the pixmap solves the problem.

Additional info:

I have investigated the issue a bit further and I realized that the information above is not all correct. The bug exists and the reason of it is that /usr/share/applications/xsensors.desktop points /usr/share/pixmaps/xsensors/default.xpm as the application pixmap. What is not correct from the initial bug report is that /usr/share/pixmaps/xsensors/default.xpm is required by xsensors for the program labels. So it cannot be deleted or changed. Therefore the real solution is to ship a different pixmap with the program to be use as icon and change the icon entry in /usr/share/applications/xsensors.desktop to point the new pixmap. Alternatively in case that not other pixmap exists we could simply delete the icon entry in /usr/share/applications/xsensors.desktop although this means that no icon will be displayed in the menus.

It's a bug in gdk-pixbuf: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=686514

However I replaced the xpm icon with png in desktop file, which solves the problem.
