Description:

Since kernel 3.4.7 (though I'm not really sure), sometimes at random, the system logs get suddenly filled up at a dramatic speed with the same exact kernel bug message (included below). I've had to completely erase the contents of /var/log quite a lot of times since it leaves me without any disk space.

Additional info:

This is exactly what the bug says:

Each instance of it has the same exact contents.

Steps to reproduce:

I haven't yet found out the exact cause. Most of the time it stops when I close my irc client, but in other instances I had to close other programs (twitter client, browser, torrent client, etc.).

First of all, this is not an official kernel, but a -ck kernel. 2nd, you're loading 3rd party modules which can cause problems. You should try to isolate the problem and contact upstream about this, we don't maintain -ck patchsets.

Nevermind, I already found the cause of the bug, and it's completely unrelated to the kernel. I'll have to change to a different irc client, though.

After changing to a different irc client and switching to an untainted generic kernel, the bug spam still happens. I'll add the contents of the kernel bug once this is re-opened.

Shouldn't this be marked as a duplicate of  bug 31658  now?
