Hi!

I'm having issues with shutdown on battery using laptop-mode-tools and pm-utils.
On AC shutdown works correctly.

I know it is a common issue that has been fixed. But now I have this issue back again.
I have tried all the giving tips in the forum, and only one trick seems to work:
cat /etc/rc.local.shutdown
#!/bin/bash
#
# /etc/rc.local.shutdown: Local shutdown script.
#

# A script to act as a workaround for the bug in the runtime power
# management module, which causes thinkpad laptops to restart after
# shutting down.

# Bus list for the runtime power management module. Probably shouldn't
# touch this.
buslist="pci i2c"

for bus in $buslist; do
for i in /sys/bus/$bus/devices/*/power/control; do
echo on > $i
done
done

When I use this script the laptop shutdowns correctly. I have found this suggestion here:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1106437

I have tried creating a new file in /etc/rc.d/functions.d/ as suggested by bazenga in that topic. But that didnt work, maybe because I'm using systemd?

All the other files are at their default settings. (auto, 1, etc.)

Hope this issue can be fixed once again.

Thanks!

Reason for closing:  Not a bug

I'm sure there's a way to run custom scripts from systemd, too.

As for the laptop-mode: there are various bugs, that are hard to debug. Eg. I just found that laptop mode doesn't correctly start during boot on my laptop (even when it looks like it started). Maybe all these issues are connected.

OK, thanks for your answer.

I also find out the solution: simple change the AC from auto to 0 fixes the problem.
Bug can be closed. :)
