Details

Description:
Hovering on a tab in task bar, i.e. default panel in KDE desktop showed a small snapshot of the application window and window switching desktop effect was working fine until nvidia-304. After this version bump, the driver logo which said Nvidia now also says it is beta. Moreover, the desktop effects in KDE do not work any more. After downgrading the drivers to 302 version, things are working fine.

Which version of the 304 drivers doesn't work? Since we have 304.37 in our repos now. Also does stuff like glxgears work, but KDE desktop effects don't?

I do not remember which version exactly. However, since I run an upgrade rather frequently, I would assume it would be the first version of the 304 drivers that was included in our repos.

Also could you please provide me with the 302 versions of the packages I listed above so that I can upgrade again and have them for backup, if need be for another downgrade. Due to space problems, I had to empty the /var/cache/pacman/pkg directory recently.

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately though I found two packages there but did not find the package lib32-nvidia-utils.

The 304.37-1 drivers work fine. The beta tag in the logo is also gone and things are working fine.
