Detailsi mainly use pxe boot to install debian and gentoo. Both work like a charm and never had a problem. In order to do so with Archlinux i have to install NFS or NBD. I don't want that, so i'm making a feature request.
i request an simple netinstaller for arch which can simple put on a pxe server or usb drive. Like debian, a kernel and initrd which allows me to boot a minimalist live system that can be used to install the whole distribution grabbing all things need from the internet. |

a) you can put the archlinux official installer on a usb stick -> http://archlinux.org/download
b) https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Archiso_as_pxe_server <- you can use PXE with http and dnsmasq right?
c) there won't happend much without patches probably
Of course in the PXE stage (outside archiso scope) you may want to use TFTP/HTTP and maybe others protocols (if your PXE ROM support) to retrive kernel/initramfs.
The good thing of archiso, is that can act as self-pxe-server ;)
