Please add a rc.d script for xdm. Slim, kdm and others have one, but xdm doesn't.
I've written one for you (see attachment).

Additionally, a configuration file (/etc/conf.d/xdm) is needed, which can be empty by default. I've put
XDM_CONF="-noconsolekit"
into it so I don't need consolekit; maybe other users are interested in this setting.

What's wrong with using a rc.d method? Why provide rc.d scripts for all daemons except xdm?
