On Arch we lack native support for the xbox 360 gamepad thanks to the kernel module not being built into the default kernel. Can this please be added to the default config? Rebuilding the kernel just for one driver is a bit too excessive. Thanks.

There's really no need to build the whole kernel just to build one module. You're right -- it's excessive, and its unnecessary. There's no shortage of documentation about doing one off builds of modules.

Care to point the actual CONFIG option in Kconfig that would enable this?

Xbox support is enabled:

$ zgrep XPAD /proc/config.gz
CONFIG_JOYSTICK_XPAD=m
CONFIG_JOYSTICK_XPAD_FF=y
CONFIG_JOYSTICK_XPAD_LEDS=y

So what option is missing?

That's weird.. hum. Must be my config then because those exact config options were disabled. I'm currently writing this via mobile as I'm at work so I can't go home an verify my config but if you're truthfully running stock then it was an honest mistake on my part.

If that is the case then I sincerely apologize for this mistake.
