Description:
I installed the new cups and libcups packages, and now I'm not able to add my printer with the HTTP administration page.

Additional info:
* cups 1.6.1-1
* libcups 1.6.1-1
* rc.d list:
[STARTED][AUTO] avahi-daemon
[STARTED][ ] avahi-dnsconfd
[STARTED][AUTO] cupsd

* /var/log/cups/error_log:
E [01/Aug/2012:23:22:59 +0200] [CGI] CUPS-Get-Devices request failed with status 502: Internal Server Error

Steps to reproduce:
* install newest cups and libcups packages (using their config files)
* open browser with: localhost:631
* Click "Administration"
* Click "Add printer"

Sounds like a setup issue. Please describe your local printer setup. And make sure cupsd -t won't report a broken config.

cupsd -t: /etc/cups/cupsd.conf is OK
The problem occurs on the computer with the printer (Canon PIXMA iP4200) connected via USB as well as on my laptop without any printer connected.
I renamed my original cups config files and installed the untouched config - same result.

You have BrowseProtocols set to cups. That doesn't exist anymore.

Try that.

Thanks, now it seems to work properly.
Maybe there were some caching issues.
