you disabled that extension at some point.
Comment by Jan de Groot (JGC) - Wednesday, 01 August 2012, 18:16 GMT
AFAIK this is standard behaviour in firefox. 3rd party plugins (and langpacks) not installed through firefox are disabled by default. Firefox developers made this choice to make sure no 3rd party programs install random plugins without asking the user first.

we have a score for our language pack and they should work out of the box.
take a look at vendor.js from firefox package.

Ionut, vendor.js is bust in FF14. To fix it:

sudo mv /usr/lib/firefox/defaults/pref/ /usr/lib/firefox/defaults/preferences

Jan, if a langpack doesn't get pre-installed then don't you think the UX will take quite a few steps backwards?

Fight ridiculous "standard behaviour". :)

Kai, if you move the vendor.js does it fix your problem?
Comment by Kai Hendry (hendry) - Friday, 03 August 2012, 09:30 GMT
`sudo mv /usr/lib/firefox/defaults/pref/ /usr/lib/firefox/defaults/preferences` is the fix, yes
