Details

Description:
In the player's library, trying to add a folder or many folders containing MP3 songs doesn't add the songs to the library, while it is expected to do so. The problem is solved if you install the package 'mpg123'[1]. This is however not in the package's dependencies, nor in the optional dependencies.

Additional info:
audacious 3.3-1

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Install audacious without the 'mpg123' package.
(2) Open audacious
(3) Click "File > Open file"
(4) Select a folder that contains MP3 songs and/or sub-folders with songs.
(5) Click "Add" and "Close".
(6) Nothing happens.
(7) Install package 'mpg123'
(8) Repeat 3 to 5: the files are recursively added to the library.

Do you care do test on another computer to confirm there is something wrong with your setup?

I'm sorry, I'm on a trip and I do not have access to another machine. I'll install a VM later tonight and try it there. I'll let you know!

mpg123 is an optional dependency of audacious-plugins.
