Details

Description:

Under certain (possibly rare) conditions [*], /var/tmp/nginx can get wiped.

nginx will then fail to start with the following error:

> nginx: [emerg] mkdir() "/var/tmp/nginx/client-body" failed (2: No such file or directory)

Debian uses /var/lib/nginx for the same purpose; that seems like a good location to move to. Fedora seems to be using /var/lib/nginx/tmp instead.

[*] Two example scenarios:

1) Contents of /var/tmp that are older than 30 days get removed. (This is specified in /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/tmp.conf) If nginx hasn't been started for more than a month, its files would be older than the cutoff age and thus removed.

2) /var/tmp could be a symlink to /tmp and thus cleared on every boot (since /tmp is on tmpfs by default)
