Detailsgnome-panel 2.10.2-2 causes the gnome splash screen to freeze on the screen at startup. This forces you to click on the splash screen to get it to go away. While gnome-panel then appears to work properly - it is annoying. I downgraded to gnome-panel 2.10.2-1 and the problem went away. This appears to be another case where one package has been upgraded ahead of one or more other packages that are required for proper functioning.
