DetailsDescription:
I followed the systemd wiki and when everything started fine finally uninstalled initscripts with pacmn -R initscripts. When using systemd now (with the kernel parameter init=/bin/systemd - without it the boot process fails completely) the localization of apps fails. KDE, firefox, thunderbird and more show partly english descriptions on menus, buttons and tabs. When reinstalling initscripts and moving rc.conf back to its original place all is ok even when starting with systemd. my /etc/locale.conf: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8 pacman -Qs systemd: local/libsystemd 186-2 local/systemd 186-2 local/systemd-arch-units 20120704-1 local/systemd-tools 186-2 pacman -Qs initscripts: local/initscripts 2012.06.3-2 I these scrips are uninstalled the behaviour is back. |

you need to have either initscripts or systemd-sysvcompat installed (the latter will also allow you to boot without init=/bin/systemd)

Those who are able to read are the truly gifted ones... Sorry for the noise. Now all is working well.
