Few days ago I've uploaded a moodin package to AUR, unaware that it actually exists under the name ksplash-engine-moodin. Searching for term 'moodin' didn't return anything. Check for yourself: typing 'ksplash' or 'engine' in the search field finds that package properly, while 'moodin' doesn't hit it.

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  Alright, it should seach like you'd expect it would now. Paul's on vacation, and this is ok to fix, so I went ahead and did so.

I shall remove my 'moodin' package as soon as this issue gets resolved in any way ;-)

I don't have any problem with searching for "moodin". Please do the search and display page's source, find a line starting with "<!-- Query:" and post it here.

Currently, it returns only the 'moodin' package made by me, not the 'ksplash-engine-moodin' package.

Here's the asked excerpt:

<!-- Query: SELECT * FROM Users RIGHT JOIN Packages ON (Users.ID = Packages.MaintainerUID) WHERE DummyPkg != 1 AND (Name LIKE 'moodin%' OR Description LIKE '%moodin%') ORDER BY Name ASC, LocationID ASC, CategoryID DESC LIMIT 0, 25 -->

Checked on both opera and konqueror, although I don't think it matters.

I didn't change anything so I have no idea why you didn't get any result before. As for why it doesn't return ksplash-engine-moodin, it returns only packages whom names begin with entered string. I'm not sure why it doesn't return all packages whom names simply contain the string no matter where it is.

You seem to have misunderstood me in some point ;-) It has returned only the 'moodin' package alone since the beginning, while it should return also the 'ksplash-engine-moodin' package (and it's still that way). Let's leave it alone - the problem, as you indicated in your previous post, is that it doesn't respond to all the keywords (read: strings) - in that case only the first one (ksplash) and the second one (engine) are valid (that is: only they point to the package) . And that's actually what this bug report is all about ;-)

Hope you understand what I have had in my mind.

No masz, tak to jest jak dwoch Polakow probuje sie dogadac po angielsku :P

Nevertheless, I would like to improve the search query. I've contacted Paul to make sure there is no reason I shouldn't do that. Let's wait for his response.

PS Keyword 'engine' returns this package because it's in description.

Yes, I've noticed that 'engine' actually corresponds to the description field a while ago ;-)

Przynajmniej nie probujemy po chinsku ;-)
