It seems Eclipse Juno (4.2) was just uploaded to [extra], and eclipse-cdt 8.0.2 doesn't work with it. This situation would have been avoided if eclipse-cdt had a dependency on a specific version of eclipse instead. |

Your "solution", to upgrade eclipse-cdt, will solve the problem for now. However, putting in a more precise dependency will prevent the problem from happening the next time around.
This isn't a big issue, as long as the update to eclipse-cdt doesn't take too long. I don't want to be left with a broken eclipse installation for too long.
