Hi,

When installing other packes, I get this message:

Warning in file "/usr/share/applications/pcmanfm.desktop": usage of MIME type "x-directory/normal" is discouraged ("x-directory" is an old media type that should be replaced with a modern equivalent)

Steps to reproduce:

update-desktop-database /usr/share/applications

Please update the .desktop file.

The .desktop file is an upstream creation. Please send this upstream if it isn't already fixed there.

falconindy, there is no lack of examples of packagees that manage the .desktop file themselves, so it is not always an upstream creation (even though I agree that it should be).

Seems to be "inode/directory"

See also /usr/share/applications/Thunar-folder-handler.desktop and /usr/share/applications/spacefm-folder-handler.desktop
