I'm getting this error when running "/usr/bin/systemd-analyze plot":

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/systemd-analyze", line 309, in <module>
verb.get(args[0], unknown_verb)()
File "/usr/bin/systemd-analyze", line 277, in plot
surface.finish()
TypeError: must be str, not bytes

I could get correct result by running "python2 /usr/bin/systemd-analyze plot"
So maybe the first line should be changed to python2 and depends on python2-cairo?

Additional info:
* package version(s)
testing/systemd 186-2

reverted to python2 until cairo can be fixed.

pretty sure the optdepends include python-dbus ... for systemd-analyze

@daniel
Yes I've had python-dbus and python-cairo installed but it does not help.

The optdeps are correct. The script is supposed to be compliant with both python2 and python3.
