Description:

The UXA version of the driver works just fine, but the SNA version breaks XOSD. If you run, e.g., "echo hello | osd_cat", it runs, waits its traditional five seconds, and returns successfully, but nothing is actually put on the screen. No errors are generated. With the UXA driver, you get what's expected: the word "hello" in the upper left corner of your display.

Admittedly, you certainly don't need the SNA version with an i915 chipset, as I have, but it is supposed to work, even though there's no real purpose in using anything other than the UXA version. Thus, I mark this as low severity.

This is with xf86-video-intel-sna 2.19.0-6 and xosd 2.2.14-5.

Reason for closing:  Upstream
Additional comments about closing:  use UXA pkg (SNA is only an option) and report the broken stuff upstream if it's not fixed in git already.
