Description:

Hello,

I would like to get fdupes the wonderful option to replace duplicates with hardlinks, instead of deleting them.
Here is a link to a patch, which are Debian and Ubuntu using. Archlinux Binary (v1.4) does not list the -L option :(

Btw. fdupes 1.5-pr2 seems to be pretty stable too (last version oct 2009)

Additional info:

Yes, and this patch is broken: http://code.google.com/p/fdupes/issues/detail?id=8

This is Arch. We don't patch features into packages without strong reasoning.

Perhaps taking on the 1.50R2 would be nice, thought...

We won't patch for new features. You can rebuild fdupes from ABS and applying any patches on your system.
