On a fresh install, ibus-qt does not work. The programs which use it print things like the following through stderr: (tagainijisho:4561): IBUS-WARNING **: Unable to load /var/lib/dbus/machine-id: Falib/dbus/machine-id»: No file or directory Additional info: A workaround below: # ln -s /etc/machine-id /var/lib/dbus/machine-id Steps to reproduce: 1. Install ibus-anthy and ibus-qt. 2. Run a Qt application from the terminal. |

This is a more generic ibus problem, not specific to ibus-qt.

Just a note: ibus worked flawlessly in GTK apps.

That's fine, but the warning you cite is coming from ibus itself.
