The script /etc/cron.hourly/0anacron uses on_ac_power(1) to determine whether the machine runs on AC power and run anacron. An unintended behavior is that (1) if pm-utils is not present, anacron is run unconditionally and (2) if pm-utils is present and anacron must be run even on battery (e.g. tablet which charges over the night), the user has to add a script to cron.hourly. The case (2) is not intuitive for people not used to cronie/anacron.

To avoid confusion, is it possible to add pm-utils to optdepeds array? E.g.
pm-utils: defer cron jobs when on battery power
